WabiSabi at WVABlue spotted Sen. Salazar outside the "Big Tent" yesterday and grabbed a photo.
3:45 Earlier today I was at the Colorado Delegation breakfast, and watched as Gov. Ritter cast his vote. Rep. DeGette had slipped out a little early to talk about Democratic unity in an interview with public radio. She hadn't heard yet that the voting was going to happen at the morning caucus, and had to rush back to make sure her vote got counted.
Arthur Davis is giving a great nomination seconding speech. There is a lot of talk about "core values" but he is putting the specifics on that without letting it just become a laundry list of issues. He is tying to our humanity, our candidate, and this moment. The crowd is authentically pumped up.
Party Chair Pat Waak is at the Colorado podium...
... She is being joined by a large group of VIPs.
4:00 It was certainly a great team nomination. I am tethered to the voting kiosk, but I managed to keep my head down. Someone left their blackberry on the podium. (update: s'all good. We found out whose it was.)
Pat Waak, and Rep. Ed Perlmutter flank Senator Ken Salazar as he calls the roll for the State of Colorado.
Tonight the Obama crowd is showing the sort of energy the Hillary supporters had been showing up to now. They really seem eager to see that moment when Obama goes over the top. They are booing Illionois and California for passing and not giving them their moment.
4:30 So far, Obama is winning.
I am sitting one row in front of the Michigan delegation, so I just took a photo for them and posted it over on their roll-call thread.
For payment, I will cut and paste their fine transcription...

Madame Chair, I move we lower the number of letters of the alphabet to maybe two or three after "M". I am running out of "Woooooo!" power.
New Hampshire goes 30 for 30 to Obama. The Colorado Obama delegates find a new deep reserve of "Wooooooo!" power. Apparently it is renewable.
Interesting use of the State Blogger: Delegates from all over are asking me the totals. I am getting them from DemConWatch
Illinois yields to New York. Nice gambit!!! |
