Unity:

"I was unhappy and upset that she lost, but I'm going to be voting for Obama in November," said Carol White, 68. "He's a brilliant leader and we have to have unity in the party to win the election."

Meanwhile two 20-year-old convention delegates from Michigan -- a key state won by Clinton whose votes were initially excluded from the primary race -- said Obama would have their support.

"I'm disappointed, hurt and angry about Hillary, but I'm not deluded," said Brandon Hayes. "Four more years of a Bush presidency under McCain would be a disaster for our country."

Hayes fellow delegate Kelly Bernero chimed: "We're not going to shoot ourselves in the foot in November. Hillary rocks but any true Democrat will vote for Obama."

Nailed some key points (4.00 / 1)
I thought Hillary was good tonight. The speech dragged in the middle a bit, but she did a great job of tying in the "Why I ran" spiel with "um, duh, you can't vote for McCain if you liked me!" I think the takeaway line was: "Were you just in this for me?!"

Overall, quality stuff and she attacked much more than I'd expected. She took on her supporters' supposed defection to McCain head-on, which is exactly what she needed to do.

Hillary in Chains before Jabba the Hut (1.00 / 3)

No doubt this storyline is simultaneously being tapped out and microwaved across the globe in blogs and news reports.  Still, the spectacle made such an impact that, to anchor future thoughts and actions, even one as insignificant as myself can't help but record the event.

How long the organized political gang rape, designed to discipline and confine in hierarchical harems rebellious female politicos, had been going on when I tuned in I cannot say.  There was Kansas Governor Karen Sibelius's lame attack on McCain's houses, a forced attempt to placate misogynist party bosses that couldn't find the wherewithal to put a woman - any woman, there are millions currently alive and qualified in this country - on the ticket.  Obvious nonsense in light of the very public wealth the Kennedys, Kerrys, Edwardses and other Democrats display.  I turned away, humiliated.

I suppose political prurience led me to tune in again, this time to see Ms. Ledbetter's gallant resistance to the planned male domination of the show with her  personal recollection of all too common wage discrimination/exploitation.

Quick as a cat though, wresting control of the microphone, and thus hopefully the momentum from such an emotionally charged rebellious act, a cyborg enforcer, the former Governor of Virginia, thrust his chiseled mug and $5000 suit into the camera, spinning familiar colossal yarns of fantastic futures, promised, once again, by whiz bang, high tech innovation.  Like the Chinese and their 3 year old imprisoning gymnastic machine, his idea is to incarcerate our youth inside the American Scientific Gulag till a few withered, skeletal survivors birth from their tortured brains some marvelous science fiction creation that will cure all ills.  Razzle Dazzle and a gasping, breathless crowd.

But then the main event.  Would she do it?  You know.  "Do it".  They had her "by the balls".  To save any political future she might possibly envision she'd have to 'do' the creep.  At least Monica and Bill enjoyed a real, passionate relationship.   This abomination should have played at a run down porn theater in the seedy part of town.

The President repeatedly mouthed "I love you" as the helpless Senator was led to her fate, like St. Jean of Arc to the pyre, or Anne Boleyn to the Tower of London.  The beautiful, though naïve, hardworking, stubborn daughter of a small town curtain maker; good and loving wife of that simple, pure and strapping Arkansas hillbilly workaholic - who'd educated himself and single-handedly slain the behemoth Reagan fire-breathing war machine, gave the Chicago Syndicate their satisfaction in her brief submission to their perverse puppet.

Through it all, from Michelle Obama, knowing, guilty frowns of recognition for her own complicit role in the sordid affair, then defiant wiping of all emotion from that Condalezza Rice like treacherous mien. She must have gained much valuable experience during her chronic acquiescence to that monster Barry's constant dirty dealings with the Resko mob. (see, Obama Nation by Dr. Jerome Corsi, 2008 Threshold Editions.)

If only Bill himself had been a bit more knowledgeable about our sham dealings in the Middle East, he and his prize student would not so easily have been duped by Bush the Crafty and Bush the Thief.  "Don't Vote For Me Because I'm Black, Vote For Me Because My Father Was Black and My Mother Was White" Obama is even more backwoods in his foreign affairs schooling, but Hillary's fatal blunder had already been made.  Often one is most remembered for their mistakes.

Afterwards some political analysts complained she hadn't blown Obama's horn enough.  But she'd done the best that could be expected with the tiny, stunted, dwarfed, basically insignificant instrument available.  A masterful four-hour, Jenna Jameson performance was physically impossible on such a tiny bugle.  The impending nominee's trumpet was just too small to toot: he has no track record to speak of and, in truth, no vision.  Only animal desire.

The ingenue spoke passionately of her real, but flawed desire for universal health care.   But an even more effective weapon against soaring medical costs would be the opening of medical schools to a larger percentage of applicants - graduating substantially more physicians.  Competition would then radically lower the cost of their services.

Yet, not once did the words "working class", or "labor" cross her lips.  Homeless?  Ex-con?  Recovering addict? Rehabilitation?  Crack whore, stoner, meth head, show girl, prostitute?  Except in passing reference to a cancer victims health issues, discussion of the most critical emergencies facing our forgotten working class was simply not to be heard.

Sure "Nation of Immigrants" was there, but our plutocratic ruling class remains completely ignorant of how anachronistic, and in fact, destructive, this concept has now become.   In an age of rampant unemployment amongst citizens competing with invading armies intent on appropriating fast evaporating low skilled jobs, immigration has lost much of its ancestral luster.

Darkness is poised soon to descend upon our land.

what? (0.00 / 0)
I've read (or at least skimmed) almost everything you've posted and I have yet to see a coherent point made. Is there one?

You have a gift for flowery weirdness, but is there a thought process behind your posts and self-linking? I don't ask to be rude, I'm just honestly curious what it is you're getting at...
